Our History

Charitable Foundation (2013)

Spectrum Days based in Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, was established as a charity and day centre service, in April 2013 and registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). The core mission for Spectrum Days is to promote and protect the physical and mental health and wellbeing of individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) in Worcestershire and neighbouring areas. From the outset, Spectrum Days has focused on delivering inclusive, flexible, and fun services.

From its humble beginnings with just 3 members,

the day centre has flourished, now welcoming and

supporting 35 individuals each week.

Domiciliary Care Service

From 2015 to 2024, Spectrum Days proudly offered a domiciliary care service in addition to its day centre. In 2024, this service came to a close to enable greater focus and resources for expanding our specialist day centre support, in response to the rising needs in Worcestershire.

Since the beginning, the charity has focused on delivering specialist care and support, but it has grown into so much more. Today, it’s a vibrant, inclusive place where members build lasting relationships, grow in confidence, and take part in meaningful social and community activities.
