Therapy
Supporting Health and Happiness
Spectrum Days offers a diverse range of therapies designed
to enhance the health and wellbeing of our members.
Our therapeutic approach is person-centred,
ensuring that each individual receives support tailored
to their unique needs and preferences.
Rebound Therapy
Run by our Occupational Therapist and a skilled team of Rebound Leads, Rebound Therapy is carried out on a daily basis, offering a unique holistic approach to therapy.

Rebound Therapy is a key part of therapy,
using our specialist trampoline to provide gentle,
controlled movements that supports physical
development, balance, coordination, and sensory
integration for our members.
This engaging therapy is delivered in a safe and supportive environment, helping to improve muscle tone, promote relaxation, and enhance overall well-being through fun and movement-based interaction.

Hydrotherapy
We run therapeutic Hydrotherapy sessions at a specialist pool, overseen by our Occupational Therapist and a team of
highly-skilled Hydro Leads, enabling our
members to access a unique opportunity
for fun, enjoyment and facilitated movement.
Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic activity that
uses warm water to promote relaxation, improve mobility
and support physical well-being.
Delivered in a safe and supportive environment, hydrotherapy sessions help reduce muscle tension, enhance circulation, and provide gentle resistance for movement, making it an enjoyable and beneficial experience tailored to each individual's needs.
Inclusive Therapies

Sensory regulation is a vital part of the daily routine, using tailored activities and environments to help manage sensory input, reduce anxiety, and maintain emotional balance throughout the day. We have a specialist sensory room, equipped with interactive equipment that enables a calming environment supporting sensory integration and relaxation.
A wide range of specialist therapy equipment
and structured exercise routines are used to
support physical health, mobility, and overall
well-being, with activities tailored to each
individual’s abilities and therapeutic goals in a
safe, engaging, and supportive environment.

We provide a range of respiratory therapies such as suction therapy, chest physio, postural drainage and vibration therapy, using specialist equipment and techniques tailored to individual respiratory needs - enhancing breathing, posture, health and wellbeing.

Hand Therapy

At Spectrum Days, hand therapy is incorporated into daily activities to support fine motor skills, sensory development, and physical well-being for our members. These sessions are tailored to each person’s abilities and needs, helping to improve hand strength, coordination, and independence in a fun and engaging way.

Communication Therapies

At Spectrum Days, we use Signalong as part of our total communication approach, to promote inclusive communication and encourage engagement.

Signalong is a key word sign-supported
communication system that uses speech,
sign, body language, facial expressions and
tone of voice to express words. Everyone has their own
unique way of communicating, and we encourage
different methods of communication which are
adapted to each individual's communication needs
and preferences.

We encourage a 'Total Communication' approach, using multiple communication techniques such as pictures, photos, PECS systems, PODD systems, Eye-Gaze technology, computer technologies, apps and communication books to enable our members to communicate in a way that suits them.
